How to use WhatsApp on iPad

I followed the instructions had the WhatsApp messages on the i pad (from WhatsApp on an i phone)then came to the i pad in the morning and no sign of WhatsApp or messages on the i pad? Presume done something wrong or not done something? Advice please and thanks.

Although I have WhatsApp web on my IPad it doesn’t make or receive calls or video calls? It can be done on IMac and iPhone but not on the iPad Pro. How can I fix that? Thanks

Hi again i followed the instructions got WhatsApp up on the i pad saw the messages got the shortcut icon on the desktop clicked on and off messages came up. Came to use the next day asking for me to repeat the whole procedure again no access to WhatsApp messages. Any clever person know why this is happening thanks. Seems to be when iPad is turned off or in sleep mode i lose the WhatsApp and wants re installing again on i pad?
