Welcome to your first evening breathing session out of 7 in this series. Get comfortable and keep the lights dim for the PM videos.

Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) is a great way to decompress and tone down the fight or flight sympathetic nervous system symptoms. When your stress is balanced, your brain function goes way up and happiness levels are improved.

Progressive Muscle Relaxation can decrease anxiety by having you slowly tense and then relax each muscle as you are lying or sitting down and being guided with soft music and calming instructions.

Not only does PMR relax your body, it gives you a biofeedback system where you can take inventory of where stress might be stagnating in your body and how to get rid of it.

During PMR you will tense body parts but not to the point of grimacing or over straining. Really give attention to yourself and be present. Of course, if any area is talking to you and saying, "Not me: I'm not feeling good right now", just skip that area of your body.

Your videos are so helpful. I have watched your video for sleep apnea and wanted to ask do you have a video thats shows how to strengthen the slower jaw so it doesn't drop back when sleeping on your back.
