Fact check: Trump claims Haitian migrants are eating pets in Ohio

Former President Donald Trump falsely claimed Haitian immigrants are "eating the dogs" and pets in Springfield, Ohio, during the presidential debate Tuesday night. A city spokesperson told CBS News there have been "no credible reports or specific claims" of pets being harmed by immigrants. CBS News chief Washington correspondent Major Garrett has the details.

When I first heard this from Trump about Haiti migrants eating cats/dogs, I thought this is crazy. I did my own research. Town in question is Springfield, Ohio. Locals have been voicing concerns to city council. Cats/dogs are going missing. Eyewitness accounts of geese and ducks at local parks in Springfield having necks cut and carried away to the cook pot. It looks like it’s all true. We fought hard for our wildlife to recover numbers from decades past. This is nuts. Im sure its happening in other neighborhoods as well.
