Having traveled in many areas of this world, I can attest to the fact that people do eat dogs and cats on a regular basis. Be careful where you eat when traveling 😅. Also, many cultures sacrifice animals during "religious" ceremonies. Voodoo is common in the Caribbean islands. We've even found dead roosters hanging from gates here in Texas.
