Donald Trump and JD Vance are spreading lies about Haitian migrants resulting in bomb threats, school closures and other problems for the town of Springfield, Ohio.

Several years ago my mother had to have a colon bisection, so I insisted that she go for respite at an assisted living facility. One day I received a call from the nurses that they were sending her to the hospital. She has a fever, which was indicative of an infection. The hospitalist said that she was fine and released her. The next day the nurses called me again. Mom was not fine and she still had a temperature. The hospitalist was giving her a rough time. Then her surgeon came to see her with that hospitalist and a nurse. The surgeon pressed on mom's belly and pus oozed out. Thanks to the insistence of those wonderful Haitian nurses, the smug hospitalist didn't neglect my mother to death. Mom was on a wound vac for a week. Those wonderful Haitian lpns saved her life...and knew more than a doctor.

Well i worked with Haitian people daily for over 10 years and i never heard anything about eating cats or pets. Maybe some goat but what's wrong with that?

What bothers me most about these stories is how much they highlight politicians who will harm, sometimes seriously anyone in their climb to power. Those negatively impacted are just collateral damage. Why vote for someone with such low morals and ethics?

Haitians have an incredible work ethic. They are good, law abiding people. They want to learn, and prosper, and they want the best for their families. They often arrive with very good command of English and make excellent employees. I really don't know how all this hate got started. But I am so disgusted...
