How To Dry Mint Leaves For Tea - Drying Mint In Dehydrator

We have some tips for how to dry mint leaves for tea. We are drying mint leaves as they are seasonal and we want to have mint tea through the winter. Drying mint in a dehydrator is an easy thing to do and a great way to reduce your plastic usage. Herbal teas from dried herbs are almost as good as fresh herbs and the only way to have the tea out of season.

We dry many things to preserve them. When you grow and use your own produce you are reducing packaging, plastics and food miles. By drying food we are preserving it to keep it usable long after it has grown. Let us know what you do to reduce food miles or store home grown food.

Thanks for this great vid. I will be using this method for my basil. I bought one pot of basil and took cuttings from it and now have about 15 basil plants.
