I love all the little tips that I'd likely miss just experimenting on my own...like using the paper towel to make sure the brush isn't too wet, and activating the color with water section by section throughout the drawing/painting. The leaf looks like it's ready to blow off the page!

Love this and how you are able to use all the different techniques for this leaf. So much depth and detail. So appreciate your exploration and sharing of all the ways to create with watercolor pencils.

I just love your technique of teaching watercolor pencils. I’ve done traditional watercolor since 1992. Yes I’m old. But now being in my 70’s and having such limited space I’m finding watercolor pencils the way to go. It still takes me 2 TV trays to set up so I can put away after doing art. But using quality pencils is the key. Your a great teacher. I’m enjoying your videos. 💕💕🫶

I've used watercolor pencils before, wasn't crazy about them. This video has shown me a couple of ways to use them I wasn't aware of. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

I’m so excited, you gave a nice taste of the medium and enough “real life” to convince me to give it a try!

Thank you so much. I bought Watercolor pencils a year or two ago. The Albrecht ones, so I wanted to like it, but I struggled and sat them aside. Now thanks to your content, I enjoy them and make better art with them than I do with watercolor!!😅😂

It’s great to see ways to use watercolor pencils, but I’d like to understand why you would use them instead of regular paints. What are the unique benefits of using pencils instead of paint?

Been wanting to try these and got a basic 36 count set from the $5 and below store. Being a creative crafty person, I'm always excited to try new things and products. So your video was very helpful by giving me a great idea what to expect AND how to go about using them properly. So I can't wait to see how this will turn out. Thank you.

Hi!

For Christmas I received Derwent Inktense & I do think they are better than the two others artists’ brands U re mentionning 🤗
Thanks for your video! Interesting👌
But please do not suggest to put the pencils in water! As they are very fragiles the wood won’t appreciate at all!!
Have a nice end of the week!🌸🦄🌸

This is why I always start to paint the skin tone near the eyes before coloring the eye itself to avoid muddy effect.

That palette looks like a cutting board I have. Do you think the plastic cutting board would do the same thing? I have too many cutting boards for some reason haha.
