I remember when this song came out, sometime in late 83 or early 84. I was working on my admissions essays for UNC and UF on a cold, dark winter's night while WHFS 99.1, a little local alternative radio station transmitting out of Annapolis, MD that served the greater metropolitan Washington, DC area, played in the background. Then this song came on, followed, I think, by Wang Chung's "Dance Hall Days". I remember thinking how great it was to be at that point in my life: 24, out of the Navy, studying engineering at a local community college and preparing for the dive into the university experience. What a wonderful time to be alive!!!
