Stop Lending People Money If You Want to Avoid These Things...

Lending people money turns out bad in most cases and unfortunately I had to learn this the hard way. Money makes people act funny and I don't know about you but I don't want no funny acting people around me. Peace in all areas of my life is what I strive for daily, financial peace included! Lend at your own risk, I’ve been through this enough to know better.

This is one area that I agree with Dave Ramsey. Lending money includes NEVER co-signing for anything (car, apartment, furniture, etc.).

I could not agree more!!!! I loaned a best friend a significant amount of money. Long story short, it took a few years for her to pay me back half of what she borrowed (after I nagged her). The last time I asked for payment, she gaslit the shit out of me. After that, we are no longer friends and I will never, ever loan money again.

The same can be said for co-signing a loan!

Gotta say bud… I love lending money and being the bank! 😬 I do avoid family though. Friends a fair game if you got a good lawyer!

Amen brothua. I am not a fan of asking people for money or lending people money. it may hurt worse but I'd rather ask the bank. That's why I'd rather work harder

Agreed. Either give it to them or don’t. But don’t “lend”

I decided to just give my brother money and he felt like calling it an early birthday gift cause its comeing up.

Paul Rudd- Just don't ask me for money.

Seth Rogn- Can I just have some.

I forget the name of that film.

Great topic. The caveat is that the person who lends it has to think that it eventually may not be coming back. Isn't it something?
I haven't been able to lend often, but I did lend a friend over two thousand dollars and she gave it back. After that she asked me for five hundred more, and I didn't. Saying NO can save you from being disappointed at yourself. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Hi Q 🌷 You know, if I have the spare money & someone asks to borrow money I gift the money 💰. Cause if they are so broke they have to borrow ...then I know they aren't gonna have the extra cash to pay it back to me ....

I stopped lending money too, I hate feeling like someone has used me just for money. My husband is great. At saying no without explanation so I just divert people to him. 🤭

I agree. I go through this all the time! I don’t mind if someone’s in need, but I hate lending money if I can’t get it back. 😢

I have absolutely no problem saying, NO!!! Check out Dollar Dude's video about NEVER CO-SIGN. Dude is hilarious but real.

I've lent people money but stopped after being used and taken advantage of. When I lend people money, I either tell the universe to bless this person if they give me back the money and more, or give them karma if they take advantage of me. So far 2 people haven't given me back the money and are facing dark karma and the strange part, those were the people I gave the most money to. One years later died falling off a cliff and the second one got cancer and has been since bed ridden. I'm sorry, i know this is really twisted of me and I don't ever want people wishing voodoo but this is what happens when people take advantage of my resources.

The only person I lend money to is Uncle Sam. Payments like clockwork

I do not lend. But I may give but that's a one time thing you can't have emergency every month 😂. I got it and you can't have 🤷🏾‍♀️

Thanks for the mention. I've learned this lesson the hard way many times with a parent and just always being a giver/enabler. But God and therapy lol. Now its just No and i keep it moving. It burns me up when people who already owe you money ask to borrow money again and it's like you can't want new money when you haven't paid back old money. That makes no sense to me. Honestly one of the things that I've noticed because a lot of my family and friends know about my YouTube channel and they follow me on Instagram so they'll see my cash envelope stuffings and feel tempted to ask to borrow money.

One friend said oh can I borrow the money till my husband gets paid on Tuesday they were staying in a hotel they didn't have any place to live when Tuesday came they never paid me then they had the nerve to ask me for more money and then I just cut them off because I don't have it I'm a single woman so that's the thing they might try to say oh it's just till he gets paid on Tuesday but I agree just tell people no then a few days later my younger sister asked me to borrow $2500 because her boyfriend put a check in her account and it bounced he's a plumber and I said no I said you're gonna have to make payments to all the people that you bounced checks with because of his stupidity by not getting cash

Your friend could still be underwater and living paycheck to paycheck. They should be watching your channel. 😉
