Why just not configuring authentication on R3 interface down to r4? Would this be valid or they are expecting us to configure authentication in complete Area 0?

Is resolving a problem always about adding missing config of would removing config to fix the problem gain the same points. ie removing the authentication in this example ?

Hello Anthony,
Great work, I like how you collected information about the topology without touching the CLI, I was working with you as you troubleshoot the problem as follow

Check the OSPF neighborship, step y step as you did.
Ping my neighbor, if I have Ping OK, if Not check the Interface on both Routers
If interfaces are UP, I would check if I have OSPF config.
If I do have config i would use the "debug ip ospf adj", to see if it would tell me what the problem is.
