I use the skins from the ricer. I spray them with butter, add salt, put them in my air fryer, and I have potato skin crisps. Can sprinkle them on the mashed potatoes, just use them as a snack, or top potato soup with them.

Just discovered this gadget. I have arthritis and a bad wrist and can’t mash potatoes. This thing is amazing! Best mash I’ve ever had, even back when I could use a masher. Fiddly to clean but totally worth it!

The potato skins are the most nutritious part of the potato. I'll be mincing the skins and putting right back into those fluffy taters!

Lovely! Just got mine today and can’t wait to try it. I make really good mashed potatoes but I’m hoping this will help take it up a notch. I think I’ll peel mine before I cook them to prevent the buildup of skin in the ricer.

I just got this potato ricer in a second hand store and didn't have any idea of how to use it. But I was close enough when I thought I could use it for my mashed potatoes. Thank you for the info. I've seen my friend mashing cooked egg yolks through a colander to make dishes look more appealing. I think I could use this ricer to do the same, and also to prepare the devil eggs stuffing.

A potato ricer is kitchen life changing gadget. I’m not vegan but my daughter is. V-mash is if way taster than reg. Boil chopped potatoes in 1 can of coconut milk and garlic cloves, salt and pepper and water if u need it to just cover the potatoes.
Drain and reserve the liquid gold. Rice the potatoes and add a little horseradish and the boiling liquid to desired texture. You can add olive oil or vegan butter. It’s delicious. It always wins over traditional mash.
