I get the best results by training heavy because it's better for getting stronger and if I get stronger weight goes up and if weight goes up your muscle has to compensate or else you can't lift the weight I got this advice from Mike Mathews you him and couple are others are my favorites to watch

Pausing at the bottom of a rep is something I’ve done for quite a few years in order to reassure myself that I could move certain weights for real.
