Why is Lucifer's seal broken during Helluva Boss Mastermind?

Did you notice this in Helluva Boss?

During mastermind we see a large door at the front of the courtroom. If we take a look it has symbols representing each of the 7 sins.

At the top is lucifer, since he’s the first sin, and also their leader.

Then we have satan, beelzebub, mammon, leviathan, asmodeus and belphegor.

If we look closely at lucifer’s seal it’s broken. So why is this?

Firstly you could argue it’s broken because lucifer’s heart broke when lilith left him. We learned about this in hazbin hotel but lucifer gave up on his royal duties and became a recluse once his wife left him, and this is why satan is in charge.

Secondly perhaps this means lucifer’s power is waning, or he’s under attack from some other threat. During hazbin hotel we see that lucifer’s castle literally has cracks in the walls, just like his sigil. Maybe this is hinting at him potentially dying in a later season of hazbin hotel.

I think the cracks represent the neglect he ended up doing due to the depression.

Maybe It’s cracked because Satan was so angry at Lucifer that he punched it.

My theory is that Satan broke the seal to proclaim himself as the law and all that.

I interpret it as how his authority has waned over the years due to not actually doing anything in regards to running Hell for so long. While he's still respected in terms of his power, as far as actually managing things, he spent all his time making rubber ducks instead of actually trying to manage Hell, and even authorized the Exterminations without an argument, which weakens the Overlords because their powers are based on the amount of deals they made with other souls.

The storybook in the first episode of Hazbin Hotel even made a point to specify that it was *Lilith* who made Hell flourish to the point that Heaven considered it a threat, whereas he fell into a depression that only worsened when they separated.

I really hope Lucifer won’t die, he is such an incredible character and so much fun. It would break my heart to know that he would no longer be around in canon.

Also I’d be so sad if Lucifer never got his cameo with the other sins on screen before the end of the series.

I can see Satan punching and breaking Lucifer’s symbol out out of spite, and he’s waiting to see how long it takes Lucifer to come back and notice it. It might be some kind of power play, like “ya I did it, and I’m not going to fix it, I’m really the one in charge”

Both are made by the same person and animated by the same people. They should be free to do crossovers if they’re made by the same people.
