The habit that I've been trying to incorporate in my life for the past 2 years or so is mindfulness or situational awareness. I find it very interesting to have the ability to know what is going on in the room and read people and their intentions without even asking a question. Recently I've gotten very good at it I can tell where someone is from just by their accent, tell who is friendly, shy or unfriendly by looking at people and pick up on small cues when something unexpected or bad is about to happen.

To point number 1: I remember falling at one point because the stairs up to the stage I was on was not externally attached but somehow internal (like they went into the space where you'd expect the stage to be). But instead of letting the scratched knee get the better of me, when asked whether I was ok, I replied "yeah, I just somehow missed the entire floor with my leg"!
