I really dislike other owners who have their dogs offleash with zero recall. It just makes life so much harder for other dog owners.

This literally happened to me this morning while I was at the park with my Doberman! Thank you for this video, super insightful.

I was really hoping this was going to be about what to do when off leash dogs lunge out of nowhere and full-on attack your dog. My malamute was attacked by two French bulldogs, and even though they seem little and harmless, they are NOT. My dog has extensive bite inhibition and dog etiquette training, and she did not fight back beyond growling and protecting her tummy, but these two FBDs were not holding back at all--super aggressive, and sent her to the emergency vet with lacerations on her legs. I did what I was taught to do: had her go behind me, and told the dogs no, and wait, and stay, and every other command I could think of, but I might as well have been a lamp post, because they did not even look at me; they just went around. They were on her for 11 minutes (my Fitbit tracked the whole thing), with at least six people trying to stop them, before the owner finally came out of her house. Sure would like to know how to handle that. I guess I need a human training video, since my dog behaved pretty well. Anyway, learning a lot from the aggressive dog videos, and might just start walking with a catch pole.

This happened to me and it scared me .

I was training my dog up and down my street & it came out of its yard .. I yelled HEY NO and they dog lunged at my dogs throat and luckily got my dogs collar and it shook it, I pushed it with my foot back .. i sent my dog home and grabbed the dogs scruff until the owner came . My dog did a block behind me before i sent her home & didnt react and let me handle it.

I dont give a shit if you say “Oh dont worry he’s friendly” Well how 1) do you know if mine is friendly(she is tho) 2) how do you know it wont drive me into a panic attack (disorders) 3) just leave me alone and Keep your damn dog on a leash, everu time a dog sees another dog THEY DONT HAVE TO MEET.

This video couldn’t have popped up at a more perfect time. I was crossing the street today when a pit bull came running up, she was a sweet girl who got distracted out of the yard, but it definitely scared me and could’ve gone so south had I not been following your training guide lines, so thank you so

Someone trusted their miniature poodle to be off leash and it came running up to our rescued husky who was never socialized and didn't like dogs and now we're paying over a huge amount to the owner because Kira killed the little thing

Daily occurrence in my neighborhood. Every single owner says the same thing as they unsuccessfully try to recall their dog, "don't worry he's friendly." My reply is always "mine's not." I love to let my dogs off-leash but the front yard, near busy streets, and with people and dogs walking by is not the proper place. Everyone thinks they are the dog whisperer or something and the truth is they have less control over their dogs than they think.

I hate to think what will happen when you leave. I see a dog that is constantly corrected and/or punished to the point that he sees no joy in life. They never praise him when he does well and if there is a prompted attempt at praise (prompted by you), there is no joy or happiness in the praise... it is all monotone.... this dog is looking at a bleak existence I am afraid....

My dog doesn't bother with smaller dogs it's the larger ones that come running an showing their teeth, an then he goes into protect mode, just wish other's would be more concerted about others that are walking their dogs, one person just lets his run loose

I like your content and your approach to dog training, I´ve certainly picked up a few things so many thanks for that! However, I don´t like the clickbait titles and the video editing gets a bit over the top lately, to the point it´s distracting.

This has happened to me before. A few things I have noticed that seemed to work. I don't know if it works for every situation. However, is If a dog approaches too close real quick I make the first move to reprimand the dog for pressing up and turn around the other way. Another situation is if a dog is getting too close I just turn around the other way. Managing space and not allowing the dog to get any closer. It seems to me that dogs love when the human takes control of the situation and will stay calm for the most part. The dog needs a leader and wants to know it has a leader that can manage any situation.

People! Keep your dog in your yard with a fence or a long line or something! It’s it for your dogs safety, as well as the safety of other dogs/people walking down the sidewalk!

There was a crazy GS in the vet's office yesterday. A vet tech had to hold it off me and my dogs while the owner paid. And then it was lunging at us when the owner took the leash to leave. It was pretty scary.
