I've had a rather rough day, but no better place to seek comfort and cheering up than from your video! This is a very interesting list, it definitely inspires me to pick up more classics as well.

oh, how I miss ronlit!!! I wish she would come back, her videos and her personality were so much fun! Evelina is also on my classics TBR because of her (as is Little Women, and also because of Steve Donoghue, who has raved about "Meg, Jo, Beth, Amy").

I can’t wait to see how you get on. Mansfield Park, Little Women and Agnes Grey are all on my TBR this year.

I LOVE that you are reading classics. Before I went to vet school I did my undergrad in English Lit and I miss reading! I read the House of Mirth and Vanity Fair in 2018!

I like the idea of setting a classics tbr. I don't usually get on with classics but read Howards End in January and really enjoyed it ☺

Mansfield Park is actually one of my favourite Austens. It definitely divides opinions with its' quietness but it is so good. Also, loved Sylvia's Lovers. It is very much like Hardy in that sense that it is tragic and delves into the lives of people in the countryside. Hopefully you will enjoy all of these classics, so excited to see how you feel about them. x

Great list! Evelina is also on my 2019 classics TBR list!! Along with Middlemarch, Far from the Madding Crowd, Anna Karenina, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, The Odyssey, and Persuasion.

I have read Agnes Grey and loved it so much. It's such a light read. I'm too willing to read my last Austen's novel which is, surprise surprise, Mansfield Park!

This is such a great list! I have a feeling you'll love Mansfield Park. As for Russian classics, I would highly recommend Pushkin's Eugene Onegin or The Captain's Daughter! Onegin is written in poetry but it's amazing. Captain's Daughter is a novella and it really packs a lot in such a short book!

Mansfield Park is on my list for next year too, it's also the last one I have left from Jane Austen's books.

I love that you have a nonfiction classic on the list this year! So perfect. I have fond memories of reading Little Women by the glow of a nightlight - I hope you'll enjoy it, too.

Great list! I'm hoping to read more classics in 2019 also. It's been years since I read Silent Spring and you mentioning it reminds me I should reread it again.

I am reading Little women to my Daughter and also visited Louisa May Alcott 's House in Concord, Ma. Little woman is a amazing book, I definitely recomend. Along with all Alcott's books.

Age of Innocence is one of my all-time favourite books. The writing is gorgeous 😍 House of Mirth is definitely on my list too - I just need to get my hands on a copy.

I loved ronlit too! I would like to read Vanity Fair and Mansfield Park in 2019. Reading a classic nonfiction in November is a great idea!

What a great list! I'm planning to read some Rachel Carson in 2018. I didn't read Little Women until I was in my 30s. I re-read it this year for the Book Cougars' Summer of Little Women. Loved it both times for different reasons. Anne Boyd Rioux's new book Meg, Jo, Beth, Amy: The Story of Little Women and Why It Still Matters is fantastic (we interviewed her on Episode 57). It helped me appreciate Little Women, Louisa May Alcott, and the impact of that it has had on society.
