Good job with both arguments! I consider myself a soft complimentarian and the best argument I heard was actually the women being ordered by Jesus to be the first to preach the good news. Easter is thanks to the women preaching to unbelieving men! Thanks for being generous to both sides. Also love the surfboard. Blessings.

There appears to be a difference in how JESUS saw women and how Paul saw them.

If you enjoy conversations, debates, and Bible studies that deal with the controversy of female pastors, try Randall Arthur’s novel A Quiet Roar. You’ll love it. It’s an internationally-based drama that earns 4.5 stars on Amazon. Readers rave about it. One reader writes: “An attractive female pastor is imposed on a conservative Baptist church in rural Georgia and all hell breaks loose.” Randall Arthur is the author of the bestselling novel Wisdom Hunter.

I disagree, if you look at the expounded version of Genesis 2, you will see Adam was given the charge of subduing the earth, naming the animals, and even naming his wife.
Many other Scriptures concur with this interpretation and no greater validation than Paul in 1 Timothy 2 when he said "because Adam was formed first, then Eve.
We know Adam was being referred to as "a man" and not all of man, as it is written "it is not good for man to be alone." That's when woman came.

We know it was Adam whom God called in the Garden, and why is also concurred in Scripture and is validated in 1 Timothy 2:4 as well, saying Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

It also makes sense that Genesis would say "she shall desire after her husband but he shall rule over her", as this is exactly what happened when Adam ate from the hand of his wife, she lead him to sin against God.

Just a comment on the first thing that was written on the page concerning Adam and Eve.. "One, Adam and Eve were created as equals. They both together made up the “image of God.” Both were given dominion over creation. We see this in Genesis 1 where God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule…” “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”" Certainly created equal in His image as relational beings to fill the earth Disagreement on your interpretation, Adam was created first it wasn't until it was seen that he needed a helper, help meet, help mate (however you wish to see it), that God chose to create her How did He make her? From Adam. Equal but NOT the same. It seems to me that the Church in general is now rather than filtering out the "world" it is filtering in THE WORLD. Becoming more and more like that which we are to be separate from (not in don't touch that bad boy, but in who we are)!!! The serpent didn't tell Eve to eat the fruit first but said "Did God really say...?" Certainly there are a lot of ins n outs but I see such a disgustingly shameful understanding of the Bible in its entirety within the Body of Christ that it really doesn't amaze me anymore how self centered and selfish individuals are within the body. I disagree with having women as pastors/ copastors for a myriad of reasons Not because I am old, or grumpy or a staunch patriarchist but partly because I see it as another way the Church is becoming like the world in order because we don't know who we are anymore to please the world with its own needs (if that makes sense).

There are no examples in scripture of a female Pastor.

[1Timothy 2:11-12 KJV] 11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

[1Timothy 3:2 KJV] 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
[Titus 1:6 KJV] 6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.

1 Corinthians 14:34-37
King James Version
34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.
35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?
37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the (commandments of the Lord)..
