I just got home from work. Noticed I had this problem. Yours was the only video I watched. It's night time here, can't run to auto zone. I found a gift card wrapper and put a folded up piece in the gap, so the switch stays engaged and my battery won't drain. Temporary fix until tomorrow. If you're in the same situation that's an option you have.

This video was very helpful. My son's 2006 Honda civic wouldn't crank the other day, battery was completely dead. Replaced the battery which was still under warranty. Put the battery in and he noticed his brake lights were on. It was night time, but we looked in the floor and the pieces were all in the floor. We just took it loose until get the part tomorrow to put on. Thanks so much!

I saw this and thought nothing of it and that it was just a helpful tip. Then about 2 weeks later my friends ‘94 Integra had this issue and I instantly knew what it was. I looked in the flow mat and saw broken plastic. Told him that the auto zone down the road had the part and he put it in same day. Very helpful tip 😁

Permanent fix put a bolt and a nut almost the same size and u dont have to worry about it ever again
