Amritsar is a wonderful city i was there about six months ago, and i recomend youto go to the Pakistani Border to the changing of the guards there, it's a wonderful show not to be missed. Its also a good time to head for the hills, to the Vaishno Devi temple north of Jammu, it's a nice place in the hills, and unexplored jem just waiting to be discovered :)

Thanks for the walk down memory lane Gabi, i visited Amritsar Golden Temple around 6 years ago, inspiring to experience and learn about the Sikh culture . For some entertainment i'd thoroughly recommend going to see the closing ceremony at the Wagga border crossing . I'll travel back there one day . Take care
