Side hugs and weird Christian dating rules stopped me from coming to the church earlier. The “rules” is what I thought Christianity was. I didn’t even consider a relationship with Jesus because I was too busy being angry at everything I saw at church and the judgement. I missed the point of Jesus entirely.

39000 feet in the air, a lady travelling in our group gets a severe and usually fulminant allergic reaction which makes her lip to swell up.. Angio oedoema...she loses feeling in her lip, and we realise we have no antihistamines or steroids at our disposal.. Her daughter and I prayed healing over her in Jesus' Name.. And ten minutes later, all swelling subsided, cured by Christ... God of Heaven and earth!! The First and the Last say about our health and welfare... I think tannie Jakkie would have kissed Jesus thank you... Please, our Saviour, let not one of us stray knowing that our belief in You is founded and verified in the Blood on Calvary!!!

I don't know who the guy is. If he's denounced Jesus, I wonder if he believed on Christ or if he just got into religion. Religion is man trying to impress God with our morality, the Gospel is God reaching out to save man despite our failed morality.

When Harris’s personal life went south he obviously blamed God. The Holy Bible gives us the story of Job. His personal life took a terrible turn but he didn’t let it cost him his relationship with God. I wonder if Joshua read much of that?
I prayed the sinners prayer with a prominent tele-evangelist who got in a lot of trouble BUT I never let that impact my relationship with Jesus because that relationship is MINE. For fans of Joshua Harris please consider that... he might have had an impact on you but your relationship is yours and it lives on. Man fails and Joshua Harris is just a man. Pray for him and move forward in Jesus Christ.

There are people from the LGBT community that turn straight due to the glory of Gods grace but you will most likely never hear this on main stream media because they don't want you to believe that being LGBT is a CHOICE.

The worst rule I've ever encountered at church was not allowing a man and a woman to ride in the same car together unless they are married couple or riding as part of a group. Essentially, a Christian can't ride an Uber alone if the driver is a member of the opposite sex.

Yes random garbage, well said! I was baptized into a church like this, back then I didn't know better. Talking about living in a box Rachel...geez...yes I've fought with these things for years...no make up, no jewellery, no heels, no pants omg...thank you so much! Rachel.. I am single for the 1st time in my life, since I was 16yrs old!! For the last 3yrs I've lived as a single woman & during this time I've been devoting myself to spending time in God's presence & worshipping him daily!! I have had to have 5 back surgeries in these 3 years, I have made good use of my time!! But recently I have realized that I am healed & whole.. Not just physically, but mentally & spiritually!! Praise God!! And I think I want to start "dating", but have been given advice from sisters in Christ similar to the book you were talking about.. To court instead of date.. And I haven't dated in 30 years!! I want to obey God's will for my life!! I respect your opinion, as a godly woman, so let me explain my story a bit.. My 1st marriage I was only 16yrs & he was 17yrs when we married & it lasted 20yrs & 4 children.. He was a Christian man that became abusive.. He left & filed for divorce.. Then almost immediately I went into my 2nd marriage to another Christian man that also became abusive & it last 7yrs & 2 "stepchildren" (They are from my Heart, Not my belly.. I don't call them stepchildren!!) & he is now in prison for very serious charges!!.. I tell you all of this, because.. I think my "man picker" is broker!! Lol 😂.. Hopefully through this time alone with Yahweh, He has healed the broken places in me that I tried to fill with other people.. That only He can fill!! But I've received a lot of pressure to only "court" & Not "date".. & I don't even know how to meet people at this point!! I started talking to a nice man, but he is an unbeliever.. I need to pray for direction, & I also need some advice!! Lol 😂
