What the average 100m looks like 13.3 100m

I'm pretty sure you can tell I'm cruising haha

This is not max effort, it was after some 20m sprints and I decided to do a light 100m to see what I could do with no effort so I pushed maybe 90% out the blocks then floated after that and barely broke a sweat! Still working on going sub 11 and possibly planning a meet maybe later this year but well see. I think in training an 11.3-11.7 should be where I'm at but I'll have to actually run it to see! but definitely sub 12!

I imagine the average person could probably sprint the 100m in probably 16 seconds but the average fit healthy male should be in the 13-14 second range!

Stride frequency was roughly 3.9

Just looking at this guy's pace I think I could run faster than that.
But thinking and doing are two different things entirely.

I run at a sligthly slower pace (maybe 14 to 15s) now at 110kg being 1, 80m tall and I thought it was really slow. I'm gonna fly when I get fully fit soon.

When I was a kid I used to be the fastest among my friends, at 11 I could just about do a sub-15s 100m, when I was 12 around 14.5s. Then I just stopped getting faster, suddenly all my friends were faster than me in the blink of an eye. Turns out I lost the genetic lottery and puberty took it's sweet time arriving, even when I was 15 I couldn't even get close to a sub-14 run. I finally started growing around 15-16 but that was when I left school and my lifestyle got a lot less active so now I'm way less fit than I used to be and probably even slower 😭

In my early seventies I won 3 first places at that speed.

Hand timed? This looks like about 14 seconds. Although it's kind of hard to say because you didn't maintain the same kind of speed through the whole 100. At 0:11 it looks like you slowed down significantly. I guess that was done on purpose. Maybe high 13 then. The start is like a 12 something pace but by the end it's like a 14 something pace.

In my junior high school at the second year I had by PB at around 12.4 seconds. Then I started to go to the gym more, I was playing a lot in football but wasn't running sprints as much like before. Later I got my prime physicue and form and I could do over 40 pull ups, 100kg bench press 3 times, lift people over my head, do 10 reps and 5 series with around 500kg on Smith machine. I was very active in gym and in all kinds of sports. I was pretty fast in that time. I was always the fastest at the sprints on the football field. At the time of Coronavirus really went down with sports activity but I was still active in other areas like physical work. When Coronavirus slightly decreased I was back in sports activity. I returned to working out, running and I was playing in a football team for one month. I haven't got as much durability as before but I think I had more red muscles that are responsible for strength and explosiveness. I could run 2 km, do 5-8 100 m sprint intervals with 30 second rest and still be the fastest on the field. I think I could be around 11 or 10.5 seconds at that time but I twisted my knee. It was around 1 whole year until I recovered in 96%. I also almost tear apart my muscle tendon and attachment while I was running for the long jump in junior high school and I have got before that terrible Achilles tendon inflammation for half year. I have gone through a lot of physical pain in my life and other sicknesses, some was torturous and I barely came out alive from some but I still think I can return to my great form. So don't give up guys. Believe in yourself. You are strong.

I used to play soccer for many years and was usually the fastest person on my teams. I guess the habit I picked up on was to kill the ground and turnover my legs as much as possible.
but seeing you literally *jog* only slightly lower than my fastest speed has me reconsidering 😂

never trained any track and I don’t have a coach, but i’ve been getting into it a lot after the World Champs in Oregon last week. reckon with some training and conditioning i can hit 12 which might get me on my High school track team 🤔
(sorry for blabbing so much, lol.)

Good job, I've go an 11.4 second 100m so great job, I think you could do well in the 400m. I just saw that you posted this 2 years ago so I dont know what your doing now.

Why are there no max effort Freelap timed 100m runs in all of your videos? You film everything but actual testing?

If I ever owned a track, I would install LED lights on the perimeter that are programmed to copy pro runners, like Bolt's WR 100m. That way people can see how truly fast the pros are when they try to run against the LEDs.
