Though there are over 4,000 lizard species, the most common home-invading lizards in the US are the Common house gecko and Carolina anole. Common house geckos can be seen throughout the US, but are more common for homeowners in the south. They can grow to be 3 to 6 inches in length, they have slender bodies, long tails, four legs, and scaly skin. Their body colors include brown, green, and grey, and often feature spotted patterns. The Carolina Anole is more common in the south-eastern US, from Texas to the East Coast. It can grow up to 8 inches in length, and they have bright green or brown skin. Male anoles also have pink throat fans.

To reiterate, lizards belong outside. If you see one inside your home, that’s an obvious indicator for action. Lizards can often be found hiding behind furniture or clutter in your garage, kitchen, foyer, mud rooms, or anywhere there’s an entry point that leads outside. When conducting your inspection, note any possible entry points that lizards can use to get in your home. This includes gaps in doors, windows, or any openings in the wall.

Lizard control doesn’t focus on treating lizards directly. Instead, we’re simply encouraging them to go somewhere else by removing their food sources -- bugs and insects. You’ll use insecticides like Bifen LP and Reclaim IT to get rid of insects around your home. These insecticides will work together to kill and get rid of insect pests, such as cockroaches, spiders, flies, fleas, crickets and many, many insects around your home, and they offer a residual of up to 3 months. We recommend you use a rate of 2.3 pounds of Bifen LP per 1,000 square feet of treatment area, and we also recommend you apply Reclaim at a rate of 1 fluid ounce per 1,000 square feet.

I have this really irrational phobia of lizards. If I see one inside the house I either run and scream like I’m being chased down by a serial killer, or I get petrified in fear and can’t move. It’s so annoying! I found one lizard in my bathroom today and I was petrified for like 5 minutes and then started crying. I can’t! Also, every time images of lizards were shown in this video I couldn’t even touch my phone screen because the thought of touching a lizards (even if it just an image) makes me sick!!! I can’t live like this anymore! And I live in the Caribbean, so they are EVERYWHERE!!!!

Geckos & Lizards running around inside, no thanks. Don't want to deal with this in my retirement years. I won't be moving to any of their locations. I can't even stand seeing a large spider, cockroach or mice if they get inside your house but I can deal with them using pest control. If I see the other friends, I will have to set some kind of bomb and leave the house vacant for days.

Not my house. Go outside and live! You know the amount of shit I gotta clean up? Worst more when they decide to die somewhere in the house and it starts to smell...and I cannot find the body?😠

I live in South East Asia and this damn thing keep tormenting me, there are like hundreds of them just at my house alone, they keep hiding behind my air conditioner, door, wardrobe, windows. They're so loud plus they shit a lot(really REALLY a lot) to the point that it's messing with my mentality and my life.
(I had a lot of arguments with my mom because we both are getting crazy because of these dirty mess)

When I visit Saudi Arabia to meet my family my grandmas house has a bunch of lizards everywhere. I have a small phobia to them so whenever I see one I run as fast as I can to the opposite side of house. They’ve been in her house for 5 years now and right now as of 2022 I only found 1. I saw one next to my room and I ran faster then I ever did! Does anyone mind if they give non chemical tips to remove them because my grandma has asthma and she could have trouble breathing if I out chemicals.

Update: I hit the lizard with a broom but idk if I killed it or if disappeared. I haven’t seen it since then

I don't have any issues with green anoles, as they prefer staying outside in the bushes or climbing around on the outside of the house, although one or two have gotten into the house over the years. But I'm having a big problem with the geckos, as they have taken over the garage. Took me awhile to figure out what were the sounds I kept hearing, and thought it was cool when I discovered it was geckos. I first noticed them a few years ago, and they have multiplied of course. I wouldn't mind them being in rhe garage, or even in the house, except for the fact that they poop EVERYWHERE. And I know it's gecko poop, as opposed to mouse poop, because it's white on the end (meaning urea in the poop, because reptiles don't pee). I guess cleaning out rhe messy garage might help to encourage them to go invade somebody else's garage. 😂

Geckos usually appear in my house every 7-8 months I usually find them and throw them back outside but there are other times where I can’t find them and they die and while I’m cleaning I just randomly find dead lizards

I could completely understand using the reclaim pesticide as a barrier around your home to keep them out of your home and other bugs but when you spray your entire yard you are killing beneficial bugs that are not only good for your yard they are good for the environment. I love having the lizards in my yard as a natural Pest control along with frogs. I keep my home sealed as best I can do lizards don't make their way inside.
