How do I Get My Green Bananas To Ripen? Any suggestions?

I love eating bananas.
We have had these 5 bananas for a week now and they show no signs of ripening. We have no idea why not.
I try 2 methods to ripen them.
Methos No 1
Place 2 of the bunch of green bananas overnight in brown paper bag along with 2 apples/tomatoes. The chemicals released by the apples/tomatoes will ensure that the bananas will ripen.
Method 2
Boil water and dissolve salt in it until it is a solution. Coat the remaining 3 banana skins with this solution and leave overnight.

I experimented using both thesse methods to try and ripen my green bananas. I left the bananas for 2 nights to give the experiments a longer time tboth methods failed to make any difference and I still have 5 unedible green bananas.
Has anyone got any other suggestions on what I could do?
This is the second bunch or bananas of recent days that refused to ripen for us. Why is this happening?

thanks for this video, I was just looking for ways to ripen the green bananas bought this week. You at least helped eliminate suggestions that don't work! I saw a comment about your accent, I live in Tennessee (southern USA) and had no problem understanding you.

I was going to suggest the bag. lol my mother always did that with any fruit that needed ripening. I do it with peaches particularly because here, we never can seem to get them when they are ripe but as hard as a baseball! keep us posted.

Hey Tom, depending on how green the bananas are (yours were awfully green) it may take anywhere from 12 to 48 hours to ripen them. Secondly, you need to fold the opening of the bag so it’s sealed. Like you’d fold a letter to place in an envelope. Then take the bag (with the tomato or apple in it) and place it in top of your refrigerator. All refrigerators are warm on top and that will speed up the process. As far as pouring warm salt water on them, I’ve never heard of that before. That seemed weird.

I'm having a similar problem. I think if you put them in a sealed plastic bag (the bananas release a gas that ripens them, ethylene I believe) and put them on top of the fridge like someone below suggested that might work. I'll let you know in a few days.

Hi Tom, they won't ripen if you put them in the fridge, so my guess is that because its been so cold they are taking longer to ripen unless you have them in a heated room 24/7. Loving the videos, thank you! Happy Christmas to you and your family! 🎄
