How to Fix Scan Lines Suddenly Appearing on your Monitor

Hello guys, my name is Jack and today I'm gonna show you my solution to an issue that happened to me recently. When I woke up and started my day, my monitor had this weird scan line effect on it and I was hoping this might bring a solution to somebody similarly effected as well.

I was sceptical but holy shit that first tip did actually help. I thought my monitor was broken for months.

I had this issue. I literally unplugged my monitors power cable and plugged it back in after 10 seconds and it fixed it.

I have reset my monitor before, but it doesn't solve the problem. Reducing the refresh rate to 60Hz does reduce the scanlines. But man, I get used to 144Hz. I think my scanlines problem is a permanent one, sadly. But your method is somehow helpful. Thanks!

What does it mean if I see those lines on the screen but only when there’s sudden movements on a video or some graphics and the lines are vertical instead of horizontal? Is there’s something bad with my laptop?

Without much expectations I switched my 144Hz to 60Hz which didn't solve it, but then switching it to 120Hz actually seemed to have worked!

okay, changing hz to 60, then changing it back to 165 hz helped, thankfully
