🎉🎉🎉 Thank you so much for this! At work, my boss purchased a brand new Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4301 fdw and within 2 weeks, it began scanning with black line. I was getting stressed and fed up trying to find the solution to this, I wanted to call the maintenance so bad but don't even have time to be on the phone! You just helped me resolve this issue! I was gonna call the printer maintenance team for the service which may take a week for my printer to get back from them and probably extra charges too for no reason. You're a gem for sharing this piece of information

This worked. I used dried cloth many times; it did not work. But sprayed Windex, the glass cleaning product, on the cloth. The wet cloth removed that persistent tiny speck of dust.

Remember folks, you must spray the cleaning product on the cloth to get it work.

WOW.. thank you! This was driving me nuts. I cleaned inside the ADF cover up top but never thought to look under the ADF to clean there.

Awesome!!! I was about to buy a whole new machine and this fixed my problem!! I had big ole vertical black lines and I had no idea where they came from. I didn't even know that part of the machine existed!! Thanks again!!

Thank you! I had to sit down next to the scanner to get a close up because wiping didn't do and could not see the two black dots causing the line. When I spotted it, I had to apply more pressure to remove to the two small black blots of ink or dirt causing the dirt with the alcohol wipe. Job done!!!
