Seated Straight Bar Cable Preacher Curl

Place the preacher curl pad in front of a low notched cable pulley with a straight bar attachment. Drop your hips to allow your chest and arms become flush with the arm pad. Prevent any gaps between your armpits and the pad to isolate the movement. Begin with your arm extended as you hold the bar and assure the cable is taught. Maintain a slight bend in your wrist (toward you), exhale and curl the weight up as you contract your bicep. Keep your wrist, elbow, and shoulder in alignment and curl your arm until you reach full bicep contraction or your elbow begins to peel off the pad. Inhale and return your arm back down slowly to the starting position without locking out your elbow or allowing the weight plates to touch and repeat.
