How to Open Files with Terminal on a Mac

This video shows you how to open files using a Terminal UNIX command on a Mac.

This is useful if you're using Apple Remote Desktop and you need to open files on multiple computers at once in a classroom or computer lab.

For file path just drag it into the Terminal window. It should appear immediately.

Right click on the file, click open with, click 'others', select application (MS WOrd, PPt, Adobe, Excel, etc. ), once the file open, save the file (save as)

fine but of course you can't if you don't know the file name - so you would first need to list the directory using ls?

whenever i am trying to open any file it says" permission denied." why this is happening? please tell me how can i fix it.
