How to Open .DAT file on Mac or PC

.Dat file can be tricky to open on Mac or PC. Many software is outdated and opening with a text editor will give you strange results.

Hi! I was wondering if you would know of another way to open a bigger file? the website only does up to 50MB. I have a .dat file that's between 3-4GB. Its supposed to be a data set.
