A back-up camera is a great safety and convenience addition to an older vehicle. The Auto-Vox M1 back-up camera is great choice both on quality and cost. I purchased and installed this camera system in a 2011 Honda Accord and share with you details to help make installation easier.

Years ago I would have been thrilled by this, I still think it's a great product. I love the 2 wire install. I also like a higher mounting position for the screen, in my opinion it's a better position than a lot of radios that were never meant to have a camera. Retrofitting a double din with a reverse camera just isn't ideal in a lot of cars.

Today I'm looking at doing a double din install in a 2010 hhr and I'm just going to live with the less than ideal screen position. Why? Because for $150 I get an android powered head unit that is actually model specific/no ugly install kit bezel, with a back up camera, front and rear DVR and with the addition of an $8 bluetooth module, I have a built in track recorder that allows me to overlay ECU data.
