It's a wonder I hadn't made this installment in the "Fans Recommending" series yet, especially with some people specifically requesting it. But here it is at last!

I truly thought r/cremposting was going to be in that wardrobe.

I’ve only just joined r/fantasy but it seems like Cosmere, Wheel of Time, and Discworld are the holy trinity of that subreddit

“Sometimes a hypocrite is just a person in the process of changing.” Unironically good quote.

This is not a comedic sketch, it’s a documentary.

The reason we’re so willing to lend out copies is because we all unashamedly own 4 copies of each book.

Redditors trying to have an opinion somewhere between “everyone must read Brandon Sanderson by law” and “BRANDON SANDERSON IS LITERALLY THE WORST AUTHOR EVER AND IF YOU HAVE EVER READ ONE OF HIS BOOKS YOU DONT EVEN LIKE FANTASY”

Challenge level: impossible

Y'know, this video reminds me of a book series called Mistborn. I highly recommend

This is so accurate. Especially the part where I break into people's homes, inform them Warbreaker is free digitally, and then offer to lend my own collection.

Warbreaker is free, that wasn't a joke! Didn't know this. Free stuff is the best place to start.

"A hypocrite is just a man in the process of changing" A+ Easter egg crowbar.

As someone who does like the first three Mistborn, I love how it's all a meme now.

I understand regular people's frustration over this, but I do have a solution for them - they ought to try reading Mistborn

Plebeians. You can only enjoy the true 'How Brandon Sanderson Fans "Recommend" the Cosmere' experience after reading at least 17 Cosmere books and braving the cesspools of r/Fantasy and r/books (that is, if you're going in publication order). As a man who has done so, I indeed laughed out loud no less than 4 times.

Speaking as one of the moderators of the Brandon Sanderson subreddits, you absolutely NAILED IT. 🤣

I kid you not, i saw someone post a video about how they DNFed the first Mistborn book because it was too slow and there wasn’t enough action, and half the comments were recommending she try Stormlight instead. Like, people, as someone who is casually obsessed with Stormlight, please stop embarrassing me.

I started with Tress of the Emerald Sea 🤷‍♀️ the spoilers go right over your head anyways! Now that i've read Stormlight Archives and all the other standalones, i kinda want to go back and see what references i missed

“I’ve already spent so much money on kickstarters that if I backed it, I literally wouldn’t be able to pay my rent.”
“Did you back it?”
“OF COURSE!”

I laughed when he pointed out youd have to read the chapters out of order for it to be properly chronological

I have a feeling that this is what my friends feel like when I talk about Terry Pratchett
