Thank you for your informative, helpful content. What is the best stack for sleep if you're on ambien and want to wean off? Also my glutamine levels are low 154 (normal 300+) (is this coz of ambien?) and the phenylalanine, taurine and hydroxyproline are slightly elevated by 20-40 points. Please shine some light on this for me wrt sleep, thank you Doctor :)

One important question!
I take 750mg tyrosine in morning with 200mg SAM-e and after lunch lithium orotate 130mg(5mg lithium).i think i get enough serotonin from SAM-E and especially lithium.
I don't take trypthophan before sleep, but take ashwagandha ksm-66 and few grams myo-Inositol.
Is this good? Or I must take tryptophan??

I'm lost right now. I've been researching about microglia, synaptic pathways, etc. And I ran into some reference about Piceatannol (3, 3', 4, 5 transtetrahydroxystilbene). It's supposed to be better at somethings than Japanese knotweed for neurons, microglia, synaptic pathways etc. Do you have an opinion on Piceatannol?

Luckily I have a friend who wants the noo's I tried but didn't resonate with me. I went for anti-anxiety and everything involved with what trauma does to the brain. I later found out that my main go-to, NAC, does so much good for other things. It probably kept me from getting sick and took away my life-long bladder pain. So, now, I do NAC, l-theanine, zinc, d, b-complex daily, quercertin in spurts, and phenibut only when stuff hits the fan. And oddly, with the phenibut, it's the day after that feels fantastic. Noopept I loved daily but decided to take a break a few months ago. One thing that's missing in terms of info is how long you should be taking these things for.

I'm still trying to find my ideal stack. First I started with basic suppliments such as a good multivitamin (lots of B vitamins), Mg, Zn, K and Ca. Then basic neurotransmitter needs such as Alpha GPC, Lithium Orotate, NAC and Brazil nuts for Selenium. I've tried Bacopa but it's now only used as an as needed sleeping aid. I consider my true "stack" as of now to be Ashwagandha, Dopa Mucuna and 5-HTP (your favorite)low dose 50 mg. I've also tried Prenenolone but it had no effect. I'd like to add a Racetam but they're almost impossible to find. I still might, they say they have them at paradigim peptides, just don't know which one. Also considering Noopept. I need more ambition, drive and mental energy. Can you add a recommendation of what to add next?

I'm also on Lamotragine. Have an issue with mood swings, anger and complete lack of ambition. Which is why I started on the nootropic thing in the first place

That is sound advice. I have been experimenting with different things to stop my arthritis and it's working. Once you get how it works, you can do different things to help yourself.
