In this video I review the different tires at Walmart and talk about my experience with buying tires from them. I have bought 4 different sets of tires including the Goodyear Viva 3 60,000 mile warranty tires and the Douglas All Season 45000 mile warranty tires.  I talk about the service and what to do if your tires don't make it to the mileage the warranty states. I talk about the service you get at Walmart and what to expect when shopping for tires. This is a must watch video if you are shopping for tires.  Value, Price, and Quality.

I just bought a set of Goodyear Wrangler radials at Walmart, the tires looked good, everything seemed ok . After a week I checked the manufacturer dates ; 1905, two 1906's & a 1907 . These tires are 19, 18 & 17 years old ( I'm writing this now - 3 - 2024 ). Apparently there are no regulations against selling dangerously outdated tires . The Fed says tires should be replaced after 6 yrs. Guess Walmart has no problem endangering it's customers ...

I am in the market for four new tires. After looking at your review of the tires you bought from Walmart and your experience with them, I'm on my way to purchase a set of 4 Douglas all season tires. I know it's been a while since you posted this video. Hope I will be happy with them as you were. Thanks a lot. You helped me make a good choice of tires for my Toyota Corolla 2015. Thank you so much for posting! Have a blessed day.

Douglas tires are made by Goodyear specifically for Walmart, perfectly acceptable cheap value-oriented tires. I’ve bought the Goodyear Viva3’s and their replacements, the Goodyear Reliants which are nice mainstream mid-grade all season tires, also made specifically for Walmart. They’re rated 600AA for treadwear, traction and temp and seem to last and perform well. I’ll generally replace my tires before the mileage warranty come up, tires generally don’t wear that long for me but I won’t bother making a claim as long as they last reasonably long enough. Walmart tire installation is cheap, sometimes free around Black Friday so always a pretty good deal. Downside is they get busy so don’t expect fast service.

My experience at walmart. 2 sets of all 4 lugnuts stripped. Air pressure sensor broken. Transmission mysteriously breaks minutes after changing a tire. Put the wrong oil in my car without telling me.

Walmart in California suck. But when you go online Walmart you can find other deals for a set if 4 tires. Thanks for sharing.

I'm going on my 3rd set of Douglas, only thing I don't like is the thin sidewalls, which Hankook also have. But for a savings of $50 a tire, I use them.

On my 4th set of Dexteros that we've used on my Trailblazer and Honda Pilot. My last set got 61, 000 miles and I didn't even maintain them like I should've. Could've easily gotten 70k on these 50k tires. Great ride. As for the fact that they are a Walmart vs. Local shop...the last sets I got at the local place were overpriced Bridgestone JUNK that I had to replace with the Dexteros, (which fixed the ride problem) that the local place ignored. The local place also put my wheel on so loosely that it almost came off the hub going down the road at 60 mph. Walmart at least put a process in place to triple check the torque setting. You can find lazy people anywhere....

I once changed oil at Walmart
They forgot to tighten the drain bolt and the all the oil leaked away
Luckily noticed it on my driveway a big puddle and towed it to the dealer
Walmart Auto is a scam except they sell good batteries

I would check the date code on tires from Walmart. They typically sell tires that are a couple years old not a problem if you drive a lot of miles but if you’re purchasing winter tires that you’re only gonna use seasonally they’ll probably hit five years before they’re worn out.

I'm running the Douglas performance towers on my car right now and they are okay all season tire The only thing I don't like it's the short thread life.

Waited 2 hours and 45 minutes for these idiots to replace my tires x4. Prepaid and had a 12:00pm appointment, got out at 2:45pm

tires you get what you pay for. While you can order online from Walmart for better tires such as Pirelli or Continental for example. but their pricing really isn't all that off when you compare apples to apples to other retailers. I did compare a set of tires for my X5 that is specific to my vehicle and actually found that Tire Rack had the best pricing all the way around. (cheaper than Walmart, Amazon, Ebay. and some major tire shops)

I personally had no issues getting tires from Walmart as I hate wasting my time with Mom and Pop shops that tell you we can order it for you, but I tell them I will order it from Walmart cheaper. Now staffing at their shops isn't the best though.

Looks like you’ve found a good shop, it’s crazy how drastically the Auto Departments at Walmart can be.
I bought a set of Douglas All-Seasons myself, the location I went to set me up an appointment for the tire installation

Lucky you. Walmart never stands by anything in my experiences. I had a tire separate and they told me I needed a alignment. I went to the alignment shop and they said there's nothing wrong with my alignment. I bought a walmart battery same thing happened I had three different places tell me my battery was bad walmart said the battery was good. I had to literally argue in the store to get them to replace the battery. Walmart doesn't stand by there warranty.

I will never use Wal-Mart again after they installed the wrong tires. I asked for Goodyear Reliants and they put on Douglas A/T (after verifying this twice with the associate who looked like she didn't give a damn). The Wal-Mart tire center associates are LAZY, RUDE and not-accommodating at all. They also put 2 different size valve stems on my tires. I'm having this fixed because the car looks 'stupid' with 3 valve stems sticking 2" out from the rim.
