The camera button offers no added value whatsoever. Anything you can do with it can be done more efficiently on the screen. This is precisely why smartphones have gained favor over traditional cameras, their convenience and ease of use simply cannot be matched...

Woulda been nice if the tele lens got a 48 mp sensor as well, but i guess Apple is saving that for the 17 pros. The real improvements in photo quality(especially in low light) will happen when Apple increases sensor sizes tho. I think the record for a smartphone is a 1” sensor on some Chinese phone. With Apple’s seamless integration of hardware & software, a 1” sensor on an iPhone would be wild. Maybe someday. Having said that, the iPhone 16 Pro still got decent updates. Slightly larger screens & thinner bezels, bigger batteries & cooling so longer battery life without overheating issues that plagued the 15 pros. The 16 Pros also got improved mics, 120 fps in 4k & the camera control button which some love & others hate. Can’t please everyone. 🤷‍♂️ All in all, I like this update. Just ordered a White 16 Pro Max with 512 gigs. 👍🏼

I am keeping my 14 Pro Max, because I only use wide lens for 48 MP RAW photos and I later edit them in Lightroom.
It really makes wonderful daytime/family/travel photos.

Which doesn’t give me the quality that I’m looking for ….I live out west in the US and I am looking for a quality phone or regular camera 📸 for night time, beach videos and pictures ? I exchange every year for the new iPhone and yes there is always something good that I appreciate . But if you are an average person that really don't care then don't get the new iPhone. For me I did noticed and I like it.

Which one does do better job in lowlight between 3x lens and 5x lens? I know that both have the same 2.8 aperture, but the longer the focal length the more struggle in low light. I have 12 pro max that has 2.5x zoom with f/2.2 and it perform better in low light than 3x zoom on 15 pro. 15 pro is really grainy compared to the 12 pro max 2.5 zoom. I never have 15 pro max which also has 5x zoom

Bravo. By far the best video I’ve seen in the new iPhone cameras and performance. The ‘warm’ tone of the 16 Pro image is a downgrade of the 15 Pro’s image and, despite all the noise about the new 48 megapixel sensor, Apple has just cut up the same slice of cake into smaller portions. 120 fps 4K would be nice but, at this price, I could buy a dedicated 4K Sony camera and still have money left over. Apple are drip-feeding their customers and charging exorbitant prices for minimal upgrades. Thanks for a clear, concise and usefully critical video.

5:20 At last I've found the review that did check the 240fps mode! However, it is still unclear if it got any better in DR department. The most obvious drawback of 240fps mode for me is that the highlights are blown easily.
