Holding onto my 15 pro max for another year because I don’t think there are compelling reasons to upgrade. Will definitely get the 17 pro max next year if they add 48mp to the telephoto camera and up the ram to 12gb.

I have a 15 pro max but I’m gonna keep it for about 4 years. The camera is great enough for me for what I need it for. Plus when I buy another, I want it to feel like a new phone lol.

I have to correct you on the 18 Pro vs 17 Pro. In performance, it’s actually 25% faster in multicore (iOS 18.1 beta gives you 8400 score) and 15% faster in single core. GPU is about 20% faster. Neural engine performance is faster even it’s still 35 TOPS. Ray tracing is 2X faster and thermal performance is better, also. Finally, there is also a new encoder built into the A18 series. The Pro has much larger caches.
Camera Control: some of the sensitivity settings can be changed in Accessibility (Settings) and you can also change the setting not to remove the on screen controls. I’m excited about 2 stage shutter press coming soon, along with Visual Intelligence. I have no doubt Apple will also tweak the CC interface to make it smoother to use.

I'm a big mobile gamer and I've had my samsung galaxy s20+ for a long time. I've had a lot of gripes with apple about their cables and screensize, but not only have they all been addressed, the apps run more efficently and the battery lasts longer, so I'm switching for the first time in 5 years to get the 16 pro max!

I found a black 16 pro max on marketplace for $1000 with the receipt, I went to the Apple Store and they exchanged it for a brand new sealed white one, I got lucky haha now I’m going to see if I sell my 15 pro max for 800-850

1 thing that annoyed me kind of is that when both phones are next to each other is they switch sides. When you compare screens, at the strat the 16 is on the left and the next shot its on the right, to later be on the left again

With these phones loking so much a like, it was tough to spot what phone was the 16 or 15.

Coming from the 15 Pro Max mainly because I’m enrolled in the Apple Upgrade Program and don’t mind the payments. I had 1TB on both phones and went from the blue to black this time. A 16 Pro Max was just delivered here for my daughter. She is upgrading from a 12 Pro Max. Got the desert titanium with 512GB. Looking forward to getting her all set up tomorrow. 🐬
