I get the feeling this is why he embraced the green screen more and 100% excessive CGI that most of the time ends up looking more fake but I’m not against having a good mix of Practical & CGI for scenes that genuinely cannot be pulled off without it. In the modern age I would love to see what they can do with more practical effects now because surely the tech for that has come a long way since the 90’s/early 2000’s that last time such techniques were regularly used

Big movies need to spendbless time on sets and more time on dialog. Mostly about how much a character hates sand, or how a character wishes they can wish away their feelings. Maybe a really long dragged out pod race.... 😊😊

Funny George here taking credit for what his wife Marcia did in editing. She really saved the movie in editing. She cut a few scenes that bogged down the pace and re-arranged others to get that continuing building to a climax feeling.
