The nodes stuff is hard for me to grasp and in most tutorials when they just fly through it it goes over my head. Thanks for taking it slower and going over some of the how and why behind using specific nodes. Helps a lot!

nice tutorial. The only thing I strugle with is the transparency tho. at 19:14 when Levi changes the render mode to blend, all I can find are two settings called "blend mode" and "Shadow mode". both are set to opaque as default.

NOTE:
my blender version was outdated. if you have the same issue as me just update to 4.3, buuuut if you don't want to here's what I did:
change "blend mode" to "alpha blend" and check the "show backface box" for the transparency. it kinda works.
You can't turn on real time compositing like Levi does tho. Doesn't exist in versions before 3.5 I think.
