In this video I'm showing you 5 cool cartoon tips in Blender. One of my favourite is the magic transparency, you can easily achieve this effect with the backfacing socket from the geometry node in the shader editor. This is the perfect way to make your transparent object look flat shaded.
If you like that outlined look and don't know how to make it then stick around because i show you that as well.
Secondary outline, no problem the wireframe modifier helps you in that.
I'm also showing how you can create hand painted stars but if you prefer proceduralism (is this a word?) you can find the node setup in the video as well.
The last two tips is about cartoon glass shader with cartoon reflections, it's tricky but once you have it, you can create a whole range of cartoon glass styles, flat or even semi-realistic ones.
Happy Blending!

If something doesn't work, recalculate normals and apply scale. These two bad boys mess up everything if they aren't right.

Glass fix: I checked my old file and the glass doesn't look as I show you here, probably bc blender has been updated since I published this video, and they've changed things.
To recreate the effect, follow everything what I'm showing in the video but instead of setting the Transmission Roughness to 0.69 change the Roughness to 0.69 and it'll look just like mine. Change the blending from opaque to alpha blend.

I remember following this milk box tutorial ages ago, struggling with the line art but finally getting it to work. Now we have a whole line art modifier that can do it for us in a click! This method makes me feel nostalgic now, and appreciate just how far both the software and I myself have come :)

I was losing my mind trying to find a way to make objects in a transparent container with liquid visible in eevee, found this accidentally after I gave up on the project. I'm revisiting it now, it's going smoothly, life saving tutorial 🙏

I've seen a bunch of people saying that this was too fast and hard to learn, and maybe it's just me, but I found this tutorial actually very good. I had almost no knowledge of blender when I first found this, and yes, it is annoying that the video is fast and a little too zoomed in, but it helps you find your way around the program while you're trying to find where those options are. (also, that's what the pause button is for!)

THIS HAS SOLVED ALL OF MY UNCOMMENTED QUESTIONS ON FEATURED SKETCHFAB MODELS. It's also so funny that when the subtle subscribe signs flashed i was liking the video and so hitting that button was super convenient! Brb slamming that notification bell.

Glass edit: the tricky glass shader doesn't work anymore, it doesn't have this glowy bright look, it looks lame

This fix doesn't work anymore but I leave it here just in case👇

1:19 You forgot to tell, that if you need color to be applied, then add 1 to Material Offset in Wireframe modifier. I've struggled with this, so if anyone encountered this problem like I am, that this is your solution ^^
