The simplest hack than you told is
Rub the slice of onion on the pan it becomes non sticky.
It was used on iron pans for dosas

Problem with this method is you cook at 1 temperature, which is too hot for some things like your brown bottom egg. A better approach is to season it with oil about 7 to 10 times. That it's truly nonstick at any temperature and stainless steel rocks!

Non stick or stick. we use oil before making omlete but thats not the case to use non stick pans. its used while to fry veggies with less oil
