I have 2 Pit Boss pellet grills A PB440 series and A Mahogany 1000 series. Ive had the 440 for about 5 years now. Love it!! I was given the Mahogany 1000 because it had a grease fire( sister n law wrapped catch plate in foil!) I called Pit Boss and found it wasnt even a year old. they sent me a new Temp probe and it works great!! so one for when its just me n the missus and the other for when the whole family is here!!!! with y'alls tips n videos Ive gone from a Zero bbq chef to a Hero bbq master!! family refuses to eat bbq from a resturant now Thank You Guys!!

I have the Pit Boss Charleston onyx, love it. Best of both worlds. Smoker / griddle. Have it a year now, still works perfectly. I’ve counted numerous racks of BabyBack ribs on mine. 3-2-1 method. Wrapped for the middle two hours. I like my ribs on the sweet side so I use sweet rib rub, I also add some brown sugar. Man oh man, Love them.

Good to see the Dawgfatha and Pit Boss paired up. Followed his beginners recipe for my first rack ever and still fall back on some of those principles. He’s so easy going, he makes a great video!!!

I have a pit boss vertical pro electric pellet and I love it. I like my ribs dry or wet, variety is the spice of life. Thanks for the tutorial, much appreciated. Can’t wait to to try smoking ribs for the first time!

Dream pit boss smoker right now is the Titan. I’m enjoying learning my methods on my Laredo. However I really want something that is a bit more even, and 5 degree temp increases.

Hi Dawg,
I owned the PB 700 for a several years and then sold it, it was just too big for the wife and I. Now I own the PB Pit Stop, I LOVE IT! It is portable and I can take in my RV too. I run it with my Jackery Explorer 500 solar generator.
I prefer baby back ribs of the St. Louis style ribs.
Dry rub on my ribs and I also set a bowl of my favorite BBQ sauce on the side in case someone wants it.
I like my ribs that fall off the bone, it just seems more tender for me.
Those ribs look very tasty!


All you need now is a good potato salad to go with those amazing looking ribs.

We just had your rib recipe/technique and oh man perfect! We’re dry rib people but made the glaze and loved it.
For our glaze, we used Arby’s Sauce, ACV and Palo Alto Firefighter hot sauce. Thought it was a bit too vinegar-y, added just a tiny bit of Catalina dressing to balance it out. Thanks so much!!!!
