As someone who has ADHD, this was absolutely amazing. The fact that you acknowledged that in the beginning made me feel so much better compared to other productivity tips videos I have watched. As well as your tips are stuff that actually sound better suited for me than most other productivity tips. Cannot wait for the planner !!!

1. Stop doing to-do lists
- split them up into quick ticks, tasks, projects and schedule weekly
2. Write out your 3 negotiables daily
3. Mix in light and deep work into your day
4. Realize how much time it takes you to do specific tasks
5. Figure out how long it takes you to lose concentrations over each sector in tip #1
6. Work alongside yourself not against
7. Make your own deadlines
8. Do your to-do list table at the end of each day

I have ADHD and almost cried when you mentioned it - just a bit of sympathy goes so far! Thank you for a wonderful video :)

This was so refreshingly honest and realistic. No one seems to talk about how important rest and relaxation is AS WELL AS how important working hard is

Agree with #2. Finishing just a few simple tasks can you give that sense of fulfillment and help you avoid feeling overwhelmed or burned out. Folks, you might have a lot on your plate but don't forget to rest and take it easy on yourself. Awesome video!

I actually looked up at my screen with surprise when you mentioned ADHD. Nobody has ever done that before in a video I've seen, especially videos about productivity. Thank you so much for acknowledging the ADHD community and how things can be different and more difficult for us <3 I feel so seen haha

As someone with ADHD, a. Thank you so much for acknowledging us, and b. This is how I personally would adapt this to make it ADHD friendly for ME:
Time blocking: I block time as well, but instead of “here is two hours during which I will get this done” I say “for two hours I will set a timer and do this task” — that way if I don’t finish it within two hours (which I probably won’t), I still accomplished my goal of working on it AND I gained a little more insight into how long this type of task might take. I will generally time block my day, work on things in chunks until my timer goes off (1 hour of studying, 1 hour of cleaning, 1 hour of studying, 30 min lunch, 1 hour studying, etc). By the end of the day I am honestly not on schedule anymore, because I allow myself the flexibility to get off schedule within reason. Tasks that are lower priority and/or easier for me to initiate (usually for me this is cooking, cleaning, things that I usually do while putting off desk work), I allow myself to stop midway through when my timer goes off and pick up later. For tasks that are harder to initiate like clerical work, studying, writing, etc., I will try my best to find a good place to leave off AND make a concrete plan of exactly what starting back up again will look like (when I come back to studying, the first thing I will do is watch this lecture video…). Another way I allow myself to get off schedule is if my timer goes off during a less motivating task and I happen to be in the zone, I will quickly check what my next task is and, as long as it’s not a major priority, I will ignore that timer and get as much as I can out of this chunk of motivation. It’s not a perfect solution but when you have ADHD, nothing is!! Of course another great tip for ADHD is using frequent rewards (having that timer go off, whether you’re going to respect it or not, tells you GOOD JOB you met a check point! And that in and of itself can be motivating.)

I have a corporate job but have complete control over my schedule. While that sounds nice, as someone with ADHD it can be a nightmare because I’m constantly burning out. I’ve been hesitant to time blocking and I always start my day by stressing about my week… I’m going to put these two productivity videos to the test this week!! Thank you!

If only all managers helped their direct reports use this method 😫 it would make a world of a difference if we all utilized time blocks in this manner and stuck to our schedules. 10/10 LOVE THIS GRACE!

Teacher here ☝ Why have I never thought about planning specific quick ticks to do in that first hour when I arrive at school rather than just sitting at my computer a bit dazed??? Also can confirm turning off the email noise was life changing and I physically cringe when I hear it go off in other classrooms in the middle of a bloody lesson. Thank u for excellent tips 🥰

love this planner -- I'm always on the look-out for one with an hourly breakdown cause there are so many segments to my day and I don't want to think about what to do when I get to each one. And the segmented to-dos! TY!

This video is exactly what I need right now. Grace, you are speaking to my soul 😂 I do need to work alongside myself instead of against myself. I've been SO overwhelmed lately, and now I'm kind of looking forward to getting myself together with these tips...
