Front ponytail goes between eyebrows not high up on forehead like that, hair is better connected without the huge difference between front and back if you do that placement correctly. Still looks good! Lovely silver hair.

This is how I cut my hair, too! Except I do THREE stages...front, middle, back. Found a tutorial on YouTube for this years ago & have been using it ever since! Haven't paid for a haircut in over 5 years!
