I don’t know if Brad reads these comments, but if you do, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m a 56 year old woman with a very long history of horror stories with stylists. From fried perm hair to my favorite stylist going to prison. My current stylist is not working due to injury. I also have very fine, stick straight hair that is thinning due to previous health problems and my age. Every stylist has told me no you can’t do layers. Well after almost a year without a cut, I thought screw it, I’m doing this. It’s fabulous. For the first time in a long time, I feel pretty. I feel confident wearing my hair down. I’ve used this video twice to cut my own hair. I keep my hair long, so the first time I only took off 4-5 inches off the back, and the latest time I cut of 8-9 inches off the back. Everyone is shocked that I did it myself because it looks so good, so I always tell them it’s thanks to Brad Mondo! By the way, the trick to doing the back pony without having to over work your arms is to stand up, bend over like you’re going to touch your toes, then let gravity do the heavy lifting while you comb out the bumps and put in the ponytail. I wear my long hair in a top of the head bun when I work so I can fit it under my chef hat, and that trick helps my arms not hate me!

Thank you Brad, I am in my 60's. Did this haircut on myself. I cut 16 inches of my hair, had to use a tape measure it was to long for a ruler! I know you'll probably not see this but in case you do, I just wanted to say thank you. This is the second haircut tutorial of yours I've followed & the both came out perfect. I have lupus (among other things 🙄) which has progressed alot this year. It's Made me gain weight, swell everywhere &just overall feel like an old hag to the point I hadn't looked in the mirror for over a month. When I did, I cried. I also noticed that my hair needed cutting 😄 So, remembering my successful wolf cut attempt, I looked to you again & found this. THANK YOU! I know you won't actually read this, but here goes....I am a middle-aged woman who has gone through HELL the last 7 years. I have been unable to afford to get my hair done for three years. My daughter did this for me. Not only did it turn out AMAZING, it also gave my daughter and I some great bonding time (The "liquid courage" we indulged in beforehand didn't hurt either!)

Don't doubt yourself! Anyone with a comb, hair ties and scissors can accomplish this. Super easy and satisfying to style afterwards.

This is actually the haircut I've been doing for myself since I was a child, and kept getting compliments on.
Because I did not know how to do it efficiently, it took me hours every time and made my hands feel like they are about to fall off.

EVERY hairdresser has told me so far that my straight fine hair needed a blunt cut and layers would make it appear thin, so my only chance to try it out was to do it myself.
And after this cut, it “lost weight” and gained volume.
