Movies always change characters completely when they adapt books, so for this Halloween I'm turning it around! Let's see what these famous movie monsters should REALLY look like!

Reason Stephen kings description of Pennywise is so contradictory is two reasons
1. he’s really an alien Shapeshifter from another dimension who crash landed on earth during the time of the dinosaurs. He also appears in the book as a mummy, wolf man, and Beverly’s dad at various points.
2. King has confessed this he wrote the first draft of IT when he was at the peak of his cocaine addiction and was lacking most higher brain functions at the time.

Frankensteins monster could arguably be called Frankenstein. Given that it is the doctors surname and that he is metaphysically birthing him into reality.
He is also referred to as "his Adam" but its likely an metaphor instead of literal

that's H.P. Lovecraft at the end.
oddly enough, the caricature looks even more like Zuckerberg than ol' Howard already did.

Honestly Pennywise as depicted here feels like hed be better fit for a horror movie, as it was described hes not meant to be scary off the bat hes just a normal clown and lovely hefty one at that

Aw. I hoped we would see the phantom of the Opera in here since the book's description is pretty cool. "Yellow eye you can only see in true darkness" sounds amazing to see. I'm not sure how it would work in practice tho...

7:35 Mr Gold casually busting out the most bizarre, obscure biology reference he could think of

I like to think of Frankenstein as uncanny valley. It describes him as handsome while giving him jaundice and thin black lips. 2 stereotypicaly not handsome traits. I also like to think of him as a gorgeous elegant man, because I'm a teenager

The depiction of golum in the animated hobbit aswell as book illustrations that the creator of the moomins depicted him as a rather terrifying amphibious/reptilian like person which I always found very fascinating

This in an extremely creative commentary as it is hilarious with it's sarcastic remarks. Not to mention being accompanied by high quality graphics from a talented hand that gives the viewers an accurate visual depiction of said fictional characters. 👌👌👌

I would have liked to see your take on the Phantom of the opera too. Many people think him a romantic these days but he was one of the first universal monsters, and has never once had book his deformity accurately represented

Man I would kill to see the Book accurate Frankenstein in a movie, he looks so much cooler then in the films

I love these! I just wish that you would have made Dracula's teeth more similar to those of a real vampire bat's. They actually also have sharp incisors which they use for piercing skin, their sharp canines are used for shaving away hair. The only popular vampire I know of that does this is Count Orlok from Nosferatu but it's a very interesting part of his design.

To be fair the quote about Ronald McDonald says "a later year" and not "a year later" so it could be any time between 1957 and when it's being told. Still doesn't excuse Stephen King not bothering to figure out a consistent design for his other features.

Y'know, as an artist you just gave me yet another reason to read more often.

I love how he just poked fun at Stephen King during the entire Pennywise section 🤣

Now I want early 90s Kelsey Grammar as Pennywise. That could actually work

Frankenstein was definitely my favorite. Looked so much cooler than the movie adaptations.

I'm reading Frankenstein right now, and as I got to the reveal of the monster and the description of what it looked like, I suddenly remembered this video.

I may be sleep-deprived, but Dracula "cosplaying Valentine's candy" cracked me up.
