How to grade your Pokemon cards for prescreening! | Centering tools you must have! #shorts #psa #bgs

These are two simple tools I use for pre-screening my Pokemon cards-

You are using the sports card/yugioh card grand master centering tool.

There is one specifically made for the rounded edges for the Pokémon cards. The sports card grand master centering tool is better then nothing, but the Pokémon specific one is very good at helping decide on whether to send it to Beckets or PSA. PSA is a crap shoot right now. They are so freakin inconsistent with the new hires.

how does this work on trainer cards, because trainer cards have the "trainerplate" on top and if the left, right and bottom border have the same thickness then the top border is pretty thin. if the top and bottom share the same thickness then they are both much more thiner than the left and right. how does psa for example handle a trainercard centering?

what if you use a regular unspecific "card centering tool", but the cards you are checking out are SLIGHTLY bigger than other cards?

How strict is BGS on centering on the back of Pokemon cards?

Does top/bottom have to match left/right? I have an Eevee Heroes Umbreon VMAX HR alt art. Left/Right match perfectly, Bottom doesn't match Left/Right and since it's a VMAX Full art I can't see the Top border. I bought the tools you recommended to measure.

Great tips here thank you. Just wondered if you could help me with something. Basically when I buy packs, either the collections with 4 or 5 booster packs, single booster packs, single blister packs or triple booster packs, usually the holo or the ultra rares I get are slightly warped or bowed. They are pack fresh but the normal cards are usually completely flat but the holo or ultra rares have a slight bow shape to them from top to bottom. Do you have any idea why this is? Also would this affect the grading and lower the grade? It happens with literally every pack I buy :s

I'd find this video more valuable if he actually worked for a grading company I think he might be guessing or reaching on some of this I read in the comments that it's the wrong stencil also the one he is using is for sprts and yugioh
