Thats because PSA has non professionals making like $12 an hour and PSA gets like 10x the submissions CGC or Beckett gets so those graders spend like 30 seconds maybe 1 minute max per card which is insane.

So many PSA cards either get way too high of a score or it deserves much better and gets robbed on its score. So inconsistent

Psa is super relaxed and resells for the most money. If you want true quality to grade then go with someone else. If you want your cards to have value go with psa

Honestly this newer company TAG is pretty cool. They actually digitally scan your card and the QR code thats laser engraved into the case leads to the Digital Render of the card which shows INSANE details on your scan as well as a high res image of the card itself.
Anyone have any bad experience with them?

I think the Beckett slabs look so much better though. I collect both but definitely take advantage of the current "Beckett discount"

Well here's a pro tip to anyone whos wondering, always buy the card not necessarily the grade, essentially in simple terms always ask for thorough pics and vids to see how the cards overall condition is and to see if it even lives up to its current grade !!

So basically if you want your card to Grade a gem 10 send to PSA 😂😂 I honestly think they do it all based off the money and the value of the card

10 being slightly easier to get isnt the problem. Its the fact that they are so inconsistent. Sometimes almost perfect cards get 9s or lower with PSA

“PSA sells for more” yeah because they used to have a great reputation as fair and impartial. That’s gone out the window, PSA 10 will mean nothing inside a decade if they don’t reverse course.

bro I bought a psa 10 1st ed chaos emp from Yugioh and it literally had massive chipping at the back of the card.

Thankfully was able to still sell for a profit but ridiculous that psa let that slide. Always check card condition before buying a slab

Yeah PSA graders are too inconsistent I agree. CGC felt pretty harsh in the beginning but I understand where they come from now. Never tried BGS. New CGC slabs are fire though.

ive personally never had a card graded, but personally ive always felt like going for beckett. i play MTG and quitel ike the idea of PSA, but beckett labels are pretty and from what I had already known they are a bit mroe consistent.

Fact of the matter is, PSA still holds the most value for resale. Someone told me my 151 PSA10 Zard was slightly OC, and it was slightly, however that doesn’t change its value.

PSA is the gold standard whether we like it or not.

They are definitely the most lenient nowadays. If you have a Beckett gold label 9.5 or 10, it’s for sure a better card than a PSA10.

But it is what it is y’all.

You could love Adidas as much as you want, but they’ll never be Nike. Doesn’t mean they’re a bad shoe, it just means Nike monopolized the market first.

Honest question: I don’t collect Pokémon myself but I like watching it on YouTube, but isn’t that a good thing that their more generous with grading? For getting a better valuation out of it when trading

Had a scream Psyduck I bought for $100 raw. It looked like an 8 to me. Got it graded by PSA turned out to be a 10. Sold it a month later for $800. Thanks PSA!

PSA is great for someone who wants to increase the value of their card. Not to mention it is the biggest market share out of all the 4 so it’s widely recognized. Great for card value however its integrity makes me stay away from it. I bought PSA 10 wanted Luffy card because I really wanted something to have as my personal collection. I saw multiple scuffs on the back and made me feel like I was duped. This is why you want to check the certification photo they took because not all PSA 10s are the same quality.

TLDR: PSA is great for selling not so much for Personal collection

there are so many production issue and quality control over where they make the cards that its just a over looked now.

I like psa becuase with english quality control its astronomically rare to get a card thats actually pristine even if bought straigjt from Pokemon Center. Ive bought so many booster boxes and not a single hit hasnt had some sort of whitening, error, off center etc.
