Watching Nick finally clean out his research catches was the real reason to watch the video. Great tips and explanations for beginner and expert catching techniques

Just as an FYI, once you've set your circle size, you don't actually have to set it again unless you throw a ball too late. So long as you let go before the circle comes back after the attack animation, it will always be the same size no matter how many balls you throw or how many attacks the pokemon does.

A tip for using the Quick Catch on a more difficult Pokémon, or a Pokémon that has appeared from a lure that you fear might disappear from the map if you leave the catch screen. Perform Nick's Quick-Catch as described, but don't Flee until you see the Pokéball shake a 3rd time. That 3rd shake is a guarantee that the Pokémon is caught, so you can flee as soon as you see it, and know that the Pokémon is caught. If the Pokémon breaks out of the ball, you can re-perform the Quick-Catch again, and wait on the shakes again just to be sure you catch it.

additional note, Quick-Catch fleeing often leaves a 'Ghost' of the caught Pokémon on the map, which will disappear when tapped on. However, Pokémon from incense will react like they haven't been caught, and bring you back to the catch screen. If a berry was used before you tried to catch it, that berry will also appear to still appear to be in effect (despite how the berry's effect should wear off when the Pokémon breaks out of a ball). Those Pokémon are already Caught or have Fled, so don't waste time trying to catch them again. In the case of a Pokémon who does not have a berry effect applied. if attempting to use a berry results in an error, that Pokémon is also already gone, you can ignore it and move on. (This also applies to Photo-bomb Pokémon. And if you just want to remove them from the map, you'll have to just throw the ball and wait for the Ghost to break out and flee)

Been playing this game since day 1, and while I know all these tips already, I'll still watch your videos because the content is so good, and I appreciate what you do for the community. Keep up the great content!

I wish there was a check box in settings to be able to decrease animation overall. I would love for less animation when overtaking gyms, it just takes so long.

I have watched many circle lock videos, but I have never been able to do it. I watch yours, test it again, and nail it first time. Cheers Nick! Enjoy your trip!

Yes! This was the video I needed! You explained the quick catch better than any other video I tried watching the other day, and included so many more tips I didn’t know about. I thought you did this video and wanted to finally learn this technique but for some reason had trouble finding it.

It’d be awesome to see all new videos updating your current YouTube playlists.

I'm loving the new guide style videos! I started playing in the beggining but then stopped. Now that I'm back it's great to have these guides as a reminder!

Being a brand new player that has only been playing for 3 days, I really appreciate this video. I've watched a few others about catching techniques but this one was really easy to understand. Thank you for making it easier to understand!

Thanks! I used to watch your videos during the first year of Pokemon Go but stopped playing until a year ago when I picked it back up. I didn't know about the fast catch trick, so you literally saved me about an hour every day. I really appreciate it!
