I’ve gotten so many good Pokémon from the GBL since I can’t do raids that often, I don’t live near a bunch of raids. So, I took it upon myself to work hard for my legends. And ever since maybe one or two seasons ago, here’s what I got, they’re not in order btw:

Hundo Male Frillish, Giritina, Tapu Lele, Nihilego, Zekrom, and Two Registeel, Lugia, 2 Tapu Bulu, Latios during the Hoenn Tour (still GBL), Landorus.

Here are my World Tour legends:

Johto:
Suicune(wild)
Shiny Suicune(snapshot task)


Hoenn:
Latios(GBL)
Latias(Snapshot Task)
And my others:

Galarian Zapdos
Solgaleo
Another Tapu Bulu I raided during a field trip my class went on
Shadow Regice(Giovanni)
Purified Latios and Latias(Giovanni)

I think the easiest way is to host a legendary raid using a free raid pass. The GBL is not really consistent anymore for legendaries, unfortunately.

I miss being able to get legendary pokemon from finishing the research breakthroughs as these helped me and many others who had a small amount of friends that played pokemon go.

they have decreased the go battle league chances so much i got like 4 zacians and 5 zamazentas from it when they were out but now i cant get anything at all from them

As someone who lives in a rural area, I’ve done this to get many of my legendaries such as, Giritina, Latios, TWO Registeel, Zekrom, Tapu Lele, and my most recent, Lugia. I also got Nihilego, which isn’t a legendary, but still cool, as well as a hundo male Frillish. Those are in no specific order btw. So, to all you laid back trainers who can’t access raids, it is very possible if you work hard enough for it and never stop fighting!


Also, I don’t know if it’s just with me or something, but in the first set of battles once a new legendary comes out, that fist encounter you get, should be guaranteed that legendary, but if you don’t reach the encounter on the first set, that when you actually have to work hard.

My first ever legendary encounter from the GBL was a shiny Terrakion, since I do cashless it took me SO long before I could get a good enough team together before I could even dream about getting to lvl 20 in the GBL.

That’s why I got shiny Lugia 3 days ago. Makes sense now. I was like woah! Did 37 raids and no shiny just to get it in the battle league little cup.

I did a raid for Ho oh and didn’t end up catching him upset I put on Daily in-sense and started walking and the very first spawn was Galatians Moltres and I caught him first throw 😊

I just got into Pokémon Go and I absolutely love it! Thank you for the tip I just caught a 3 star Shaymin! I grew up with Gen 1-4 and was a little confused with the new typings lol
