How refreshing to see someone so young playing the classic rags.  Wow

JOPLIN composed many amazing Rag time pieces that continue to amaze and dazzle us long after he is gone. RIP Mr JOPLIN. You were truly an amazing composer.

Nice to hear Scott Joplin played so wonderfully well. He is one of the great American composers who deserves so much more attention. Thank you for such an enjoyable hearing! 🤗

* sigh *. 42 years ago I met and fell in love with a music major who played Scott Joplin at the campus student center. We've been married 40 years. Best wishes for you.

I’ve just started learning the Maple Leaf Rag and came across your channel. After watching you play I’m determined to roll up my sleeves and learn the whole damn book!

Excellent syncopations with great pop to them! Also a perky, stomping left hand with authority, and never drags or jumps a 16th note, which is easy to fudge in bar 8 of the D section. Top notch! Keep it up!

Omg -your passion for ragtime is priceless. It just made a tear stream down my face. I'm at a loss for words. I'm so happy you're sharing-thank you. I can't believe that the world of ragtime in which I was solitarily enveloped as a child is now so vast thanks to the Internet. It's so hard to explain. Too much awesomeness. 👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Awesome job Kristen! Anyone who has played Mr. Joplin's works KNOWS how difficult it is. The left hand is not syncopated and the right hand And I love that your puppy is enjoying it as well! I've been playing since I was a little girl sitting on the piano bench next to my grandfather - and I'm 75!

This week I learned from Kristen that ragtime pieces are my coronavirus jams. Rockin' the quarantine! & sharing now ;)

Well done! Its so nice to see young people playing classic older music like this. Seeing this gives me hope that ragtime might survive another 100 years if we take care to try and interest the next generation in it. I might suggest slowing down the tempo though. Scott Joplin himself said rags should never be played too fast and that was certainly played faster than is typical for rag time.

P.S: I think one of your dwarves is missing (or perhaps just not in the shot, I dunno. )
