I don't think I'll ever understand professional drifting. It's just a fun thing to do with no real purpose. Bringing a bunch of rules and competition into it seems like it would suck the fun out of it.

I’m pretty sure rallying, og dirt track nascar pioneered drifting and then the drift kind popularized it by doing it on roads. Now it’s a showmanship sport and it’s awesome and pretty useful for rally

I love drifting but one time I tried to drift a Yukon XL on a gravel Road going 70 didn’t do good
