Concerning the Soyuz docked with the ISS, it isn't the fuel per se that has a life expectancy -- at least, not the main fuel. It is the fuel used in the OMS, or Orbital Maneuvering System. Russia uses peroxide in the OMS, which degrades to water over time. Even if that fuel degraded completely, they could still make it back to earth without the OMS, they just would have little choice in where they landed.

Man, this just highlights how difficult it is get things right in the aerospace industry.

I'm kinda worried about SpaceX's planned flight with Yusaka Maezawa now ...

I sincerely hope these are simply babysteps towards humanity's greatness expanding and not the peak of mankind.

I was lucky enough today to get a decent conversation in with staff from the ESA about Rosetta, Bepicolumbo and their various jobs as the ESA. One guy was a Heliophysicist and another nice lass was CAPCOM! Some very interesting insider information but nothing new or exciting to report that isn't already known online. ISS seems in good hands at the moment and even if they can't get fresh staff up there it's fully capable of being taken care of from down here.

This video was so intriguing. I hope NASA figures out how to fix some of these problems! Fingers crossed!

Hubble's issues were with REACTION WHEELS, not gyroscopes. They are similar but not the same

Do a video about how satalites and probes age, and what do we protect spacecrafts from the environment of space! Please! Sugar & cherry on top!

It's capable of operating with one gyro. I wouldn't say "Perfectly capable".

Great. A livestream when most people are either in school or at work. Great timing.

All of these issues could be solved with a 500 million (or more) and extremely risky shuttle mission each.
